What this site is

swimclub.online is a directory of swimming clubs, races and swim spots across Ireland. We don't require accounts and don't collect personal data to use the site.

Analytics we always run

We use Plausible Analytics, an EU-hosted, privacy-first tool. It uses no cookies and stores no personal identifiers: it counts visits, pages, referrers, countries and which parts of the site are used (e.g. which club profiles are opened), all as anonymous aggregates. Because no personal data is collected, no consent banner is required for this.

Google Analytics — only with your consent

If you click "Allow analytics" in the banner, we additionally load Google Analytics 4 (with IP anonymisation) to understand usage in more depth. If you decline, Google is never loaded, and your choice is remembered on your device. You can clear your browser data at any time to be asked again.

Outbound links

Club, race and shop links lead to third-party sites (club websites, Facebook, Google Maps, swimkit.ie and others) which have their own privacy policies.

Email

If you email us (e.g. via a "Suggest edit" link), we use your message and address only to answer you and to correct listings, and don't share them with anyone.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us what data we hold about you and request its correction or deletion — email [email protected]. In practice, unless you've emailed us, we hold none.
